Operating primarily on platforms like YouTube and Instagram, funk addresses diverse topics from the news to entertainment, reflecting a shift towards platform-specific content strategies.
Social Media Platforms as Modern Media Companies
Platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram have evolved beyond mere technological social networking sites into influential media companies. They invest in original programming, offer monetization opportunities for creators, and utilize sophisticated algorithms to curate content for users. This evolution has redefined content consumption and distribution, positioning these platforms as central hubs in the media ecosystem.

Workshop Objectives:

Participants will:
Explore the structure and impact of collaborative content initiatives like funk.
Understand the role of technology platforms in shaping modern media consumption.
