Workshop description:
This workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to the art and science of color grading and it’s underlying principles. We will explore the evolution of color in film, from its historical roots to modern techniques.
Technical, physiological, and psychological aspects of color and its impact on storytelling will be discussed. A practical introduction to Davinci Resolve will lay the ground to apply the necessary tools in order to refine colors and achieve the desired effects.

Lecturer:
Daniel Hollerweger
Was born in Upper Austria and studied Multimediaart at the FH Salzburg. Daniel has
been working as DoP on all kinds of projects - including cinematic movies and
documentaries.
He is running his own Color Grading and Post Production Studio in Vienna since 2010.
His day to day work includes all kinds of genres. From feature films, documentaries and
tv commercials to music videos and experimental films. His special interest is analog
film. From shooting analog himself, to postproducing analog shot films to creating
convincing analog film looks for digitally shot projects.
