The focus of the Creative Media Summer School was on artistic practice, creative processes, technical execution and theoretical reflection on various topics relating to media & digital technologies.
Enrolled students had the opportunity to obtain and deepen their knowledge and skills in the course of workshops and discussions. Internationally renowned speakers and workshop leaders ensured high-quality education and up-to-date information.
Workshops, face-to-face conversations with artists and researchers as well as networking with like-minded people were on the agenda.
Event Location
The Creative Media Summer School will be organized as a hybrid event. Depending on the format, the workshops either take place at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences or online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
The St. Pölten UAS is a provider of performance-oriented university education with a strong practical relevance in the areas of Media, Economics, Digital Technologies, Computer Science, Security, Rail Technology, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences.
Today our UAS has approximately 3,700 students in 26 study programmes and numerous further education programmes. In addition to education, the St. Pölten UAS engages in intensive research. It carries out scientific work in the aforementioned areas by adopting a cross-institutional and interdisciplinary approach.

The E.I.N.S. Open Innovation Hub for Creative Industries & Digital Media at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences is led by Franz Fiedler and Thomas Moser. The Hub functions as a catalyst for creativity, innovation and growth in the creative industries and in the field of digital media in St. Pölten and on a European level.
It offers a range of activities in the field of entrepreneurial education, networking and matchmaking and support for start-ups. The Hub works in close connection with the thriving ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in St. Pölten, offering opportunities for networking between the city of St. Pölten and the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. It supports accessing state-of-the-art facilities, training, workshops or hackathons - connects with mentors, provides networking opportunities and resources to support the development of new ideas, products, services and business models.

General information
After successful completion of a workshop (= participation throughout the entire week), students receive an official certificate confirming that they obtained 5 ECTS credits. Enjoy international high-quality workshops in the field of the creative media industry.
Student’s participation in the offered workshops is free of charge except of a mandatory contribution to the ÖH-Austrian Students Union (EUR 21.20 at the moment). This will provide them with personal accident and liability insurance via the ÖH during their stay in Austria. For some workshops material costs might be applicable. Workshop leaders are able to participate with their students or with an own workshop topic. If more than eight students from your university sign up for our Summer School we kindly ask you to provide an additional workshop by your university. If you are interested, please contact us.
