Product structuring and configuration solutions as new methods for
efficient ECAD engineering
In the workshop, steps and possibilities will be developed, how the currently widespread method in E-CAD engineering can be changed. Methods for structuring of products (machines, plants) are discussed and elaborated and based on this structured models are built, which are then used as a basis for new engineering methods with configurators!
An example environment for the practical implementation of the developed models and solutions is the software environment EPLAN Electric P8! The models (or parts thereof) are implemented as examples with EPLAN Electric P8 and tested in practice.
Configurations can be implemented with EPLAN Cogineer, EPLAN Engineering Center One or EPLAN Engineering Center.
Mr. Erasmus has held the position of „Professional Services Manager“ at EPLAN Austria since November 2012. Through his training at the HTL St. Pölten (Department of IT and Organization) and his previous activities in the field of software development, customer care and services as well as sales of complex technical software, he brings plenty of experience for this task at EPLAN. He is responsible for all technical aspects of the company and is also responsible for training, consulting services and the product hotline in Austria. As a technical contact for different sales topics, decisions about future strategic orientations and the recognition of market developments and market opportunities fall into his area. Since the beginning of 2017, he has also been responsible for the area of “Professional Services“ for the SEMEA division (South Europe, Middle East, Africa) and supports the EPLAN units in the countries in business development.
He started at EPLAN Austria in 2008 in the department of support. He was also responsible for some IT topics.
Then he moved to the training department. Since 2010 he is consultant for the EPLAN Platform. He is a specialist for EPLAN Electric P8, EPLAN Fluid,
EPLAN Preplanning as well as the previous product EPLAN PPE, EEC One, EPLAN Cogineer and EPLAN Fieldsys. He had already implemented some
projects in Austria with EPLAN Preplanning in the field of Automotive, Electronics, Building Automation, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper.
“We help our customers to improve their engineering process. That can be reached by creating implementation concepts, standardization, automation
and by professional project management. We support your engineering though integrated process and application consulting.“
